4 NEW EXHIBITIONS

Darryl Robertson and Lesley Jacka Robertson in four separate exhibitions in September.

During September 2011  Darryl Robertson and Lesley Jacka Robertson  have works in 4 exhibitions.

 

#1-Darryl Robertson was a selected as a finalist in this   Inaugural Art exhibition for his sculptural  painting

based on one of his  original poems "Lost Leave of Autumn"... about whaling

Just 50 Artists  works were selected for exhibition from 200 submitted.

The exhibition is being held at the  Centennial Stories  Museum and Art Gallery  at 21 Centennial Avenue .Alexandra. it runs from  8th Sept through until End of October.

Judges for round of the exhibition were

Jimmy Cooper , Ceramicist Dunedin  .

#2-The Opening Exhbition at Red Gallery in Nelson .Darryl Robertson and Lesley Jacka Robertson  join  A  fantastic collection of artists who have been invited to exhibit in the reopening show at RED.

New Owners Sarah and Caroline are excited by the artist work on show and the cafe they have at Red Gallery. The Gallery opened on  Monday the 5th of September and celebrates the artist in the  Newly  launched  NELSON ARTS GUIDE BOOK .This book is a must have if you love looking at art and galleries that are located all around the Nelson coasts, valleys and plains.

So if you are about and about in Nelson  check out Red  Gallery and also drive the coastal highway near  Mapua and see  Bronte Art Gallery where Darryl and Lesleys work is always fresh and exciting.

 

#3- Simply  New Zealand Shop ,NELSON WINDOW EXHIBITION Right near the information center in Nelson is having a focus exhibition in two windows area of the work of Darryl Robertson and lesley Jacka Robertson.

Fantastic Painting and Sculpture  that is right in the heart of  the tourist information and  shopping area of Nelson

Runs from the  17th September to 29th October  and you will find other such exhibition around Nelson during the

Rugby World Cup time.Lots of great  art around the Nelson city shop  windows.Promoted by Uniquely Nelson Group.

 

#4-The Portage Ceramic Art Awards 2011.

Darryl Robertson has been selected as a finalist in the 2011 Portage Ceramic Art Awards which will be exhibited at Lopdell House Art gallery.Titirangi Auckland.

The work is Titled the Silence Between Echoes and is made up of 4 parts which make the one work. Made  from Ceramic and Flax if is a hanging wall work.

This is New Zealands  premier  Ceramic Art Exhibition  which this year was selected and judges by  Janet

Mansfield from Sydney Australia. Janet has a huge international  reputation  in the ceramic  / pottery world .

The exhibition will run from 13th October  so visit Lopdell House Art Gallery and see some of New Zealands best Ceramic art sculpture and pottery works.
