A new gallery called Element Gallery and Books has opened in the on the 5th September 2005.

Located in the new Complex at the corner of Trafalgar and Halifax st Nelson, New Zealand

The complex houses an information centre, tourism ,art and conservation offices as well as a cafe and other shops.It is a stunning new addition to central Nelson Area.

Element Gallery is a very stylish new gallery right on the corner representing a number of well established artists inculding Darryl Robertson with his very powerful ceramic and marble sculptures, as well as well know painter Brian Strong and Hoglund art glass to name just two.

The gallery is well placed for Nelsonians and visitors to the region to access the artworks on show in a complex that will have huge visitor numbers. This should be a great addition to the Nelson art scene .The gallery is managed by Eleanor Gorrie who has worked hard to create this art space to a very high standard.
